Rose says goodbye

June 11, 2013, marked not only the end of the school year for students and staff at Rose Elementary School but the end of an era. After 109 years of service, the Roseburg, Ore., school closed its doors for the last time, ending a yearlong effort to stave off closure in the face of declining enrollment numbers and the need to cut costs throughout the Roseburg School District.

After the fire
